About the artist:

FELIX VIDAL CHACON

Born in Salamá, Baja Verapaz, Guatemala the 19 of October 1957.

Studies:
From 1981 to 1986 he studied at the Guatemalan National School of Fine Arts, specializing in drawing, painting and engraving, having as teachers the well know Guatemalan Artists, Rodolfo Galioti Torres, Enrique Anleu Díaz and Isabel Ruiz. Since 1988 he has presented his work in 10 individual shows in Guatemalan Art Galleries among them.

1987- First Price at the VIII National Watercolor Hall, Guatemala City, Guatemala
1988- Second Price at the IX National Watercolor Hall, Guatemala City, Guatemala
1989- Mention of Honor at the House of Culture of Mixco, Mixco, Guatemala
1990- Silver Medal at the VII Paiz Art Biennale, Guatemala City, Guatemala
1990- First Mention of Honor at the XXII Arturo Martínez Contest, Quetzaltenango, Guatemala
